ALBUQUERQUE TEA PARTY MEMBER v. TEA PARTY SUPPORTER
How many members does the Albuquerque TEA (taxed enough already) Party have?
Answer, eight.
These are the members of the Albuquerque TEA Party Board, who are subject to government targeting. All others are Albuquerque TEA Party SUPPORTERS.
Why is the distinction important? The IRS in their political maltreatment of the Albuquerque TEA Party application for non-profit status, have demanded a list of the members. This unconstitutional demand by a politicized federal bureaucracy, put those who support the TEA Party in potential danger. Thus, the title of Albuquerque TEA Party MEMBER has been reserved for those who serve on the Board.
All others are SUPPORTERS. And who are the Albuquerque TEA Party SUPPORTERS?
They are anyone who agrees with our position that the federal government needs to return to Constitutional Principals. Our supporters also believe that less government means more freedom. Our supporters believe more power to local city/ county/ and state government means more accountability. Big is not better. Big government is not the solution. Big government is the problem. So by analogy, Albuquerque TEA Party SUPPORTERS believe in the small, believe in the individual. Small is better.
Thus Albuquerque TEA Party SUPPORTERS are not geographically limited to the city of Albuquerque. They could live anywhere. Perhaps even in China. Or in other states.
