ACTION ITEM: Sign the COS Petition! The Convention of States is working to restore the federal government to constitutional governance by proposing amendments that will 1) impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, 2) limit its power and jurisdiction, and 3) impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress. Return the power to the people through Article V.
The Albuquerque TEA Party has a new board and has lots of new and exciting plans on how to bring sanity back to New Mexico governance.
We have two primary goals for 2018 - first is to get as many conservative, constitution-based candidates elected at the school board, city council, county commission, state legislature and governor and our representatives in the federal government as possible.
Second, we will work on Unleashing New Mexico's greatness through education and action. The two goals are linked based on the premise that the current leadership at all levels of New Mexico Government have done everything possible to reduce individual and economic freedom.
The February General Meeting will feature two speakers, Eddie Aragon and Ed Glenn, both very active in our community and strong supporters of conservatism.
They will discuss, from their point of view, the needs of our state and city and how the ATP family can be most effective in shifting the political spectrum more towards conservatism. Questions and feedback from the audience are encouraged.
Come and listen to some new ideas about how to stop the move toward socialism and share your ideas with them.

ATP Board of Directors: It is with deep sadness that we share with you that fellow Board member Marge Tapia has passed away.
Marge was a dear friend to us all. A true patriot. Her tireless dedication to promoting the values that made America great was, and continues to be, an inspiration to our whole community. She has passed on to us the torch she carried so valiantly for so long.
Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with Marge's husband Stino and family in this time of sorrow. A celebration and memorial service for our dear friend will be announced in the coming days.
Save the Date
On the 3rd Tuesday of each month the ABQ Tea Party meets with fellow conservatives at the UNM Continuing Education Conference Center from 7 to 8:30 PM. Come early and bring a friend or two!
